Albert Abelló

PhD in Computer Science and a professor in the Department of Systems Engineering and Information (UPC), an expert on Big Data and Business Intelligence.

Albert Abelló doctorate at the UPC in 2002 since then he has worked as a teacher and researcher at the university. He currently holds the rank of Contracted Doctor. He made research stays at the University of Granada (Spain), Technische Universität Darmstadt (Germany), Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 (France) and University of the Republic (Uruguay).
Antonio Calvo

Business Analytics Advisor at SAS. Helping the customer to take winning decisions through leveraging data and insight. +18 years of experience in project management, marketing, sales and business development in leadership positions. Franc Ponti

To begin with, I have a passion for creativity and innovation. I believe they are powerful tools for people and companies to break their barriers and give their best. I am currently directing the Innovation Centre at EADA (Business School Barcelona) where I am a full-time teacher and fervent admirer.

I love doing things in a different way everyday. I endeavour to reinvent myself quite often in the way I teach, work, analyse things and see the world. I do yoga and meditation, I am keen on Buddhism, I love travelling and cats. I like many things and try not to hate anything. I try to hear more and better everyday. I wish the world was a constant and enriching conversation.

Academically, I am a Bachelor of Arts and have a PhD in Information Society granted by UOC (Open University of Catalonia). I also have a degree in organizational psychology granted by EADA (Barcelona Business School). I have also studied business administration at EADA.
Joan-Albert Garcia Moga

Joan-Albert (Barcelona, 1975), Bachelor of Science at Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey, USA. Executive MBA at EADA (Equis, AMBA), in order to be a better professor in an international environment I attended at the International Faculty Program (IFP) at IESE (Equis, AMBA, AACSB) and to improve my business innovation knowledge to an Innovation Management program at MIT, Boston. I developed successfully the Master of Research in Management at Ramón Llull University (AACSB) and now I am finishing my PhD in Innovation Management.

My professional career has an International background and a strong passion for knowledge and people. I developed successfully management positions in Business consultancy companies and as a Business School professor in Barcelona, and in LATAM as Business School Manager and international professor in several countries and universities.
Mathieu Durrande

Extended experience in multinational organization in several countries and various industrial sectors as an international purchasing manager. Developed a deep learning in organization and a high level of enthusiasm for managing people. Highly engaged within sustainability as well as positive thinking methodology for change management.

-Senior consultant in administrative teaching quality, with demonstrated expertise in AUDIT and ABET; senior consultant in administrative quality, human resources, strategic planning, teamwork, organization and change processes.

-Experienced trainer with more than fifteen years of experience in business skills, human resources and management.

-Host for foreign university visitors participating in a European Union projects regarding our quality and strategic planning practices (Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Georgia, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Portugal, Ethiopia, Chile, Morocco,).

-Experienced speaker in service charters and Universities.

-Member of two European funded projects: – EQUASP project (implementing a quality assurance framework for tech universities in the Russian federation) and – REDEEM project (studying the employability of double degrees in Europe).

UB professional profile:

-Professor at UB (University of Barcelona) in School of Economics and Business, specializing in the human resources area (Economics and Business Organization department).
Rosa Paradell

I am a telecom engineer with an economics degree, and a master degree in energy engineering. I have been working in the application of IT to urban services and energy efficiency for almost ten years, projects that some years ago started to be known as Smart Cities.

Now I am boosting the innovation in this sector as the Smart Cities Innovation Business Unit Manager in i2CAT.

Smart Cities, as a sector, is still in a very early stage, and after working as the Smart City Expo World Congress Director, and after working as the Smart City Expo World Congress Director, I was collaborating in the launching of the Smart City Business Institute, a business and knowledge platform which main aim is to promote and divulge the trends and projects in Smart Cities.
